On breaking out

A number of years ago, I decided to try my hand at designing board games. Trials, tribulations, and challenges, and more that a little crazy, about 16 months ago I decided to self-publish my first game, Tesserae, handling the sales and marketing, manage the production, learn international shipping regs, and all that jazz. Building the whole company because it was hard, parts of it a struggle, but something I believed I could learn.
Well, tonight my little project, my company had a very big night. ;-)
After a year of teaching myself to sell, overcoming doubts and obstacles, and one small sale after another, I just landed my first big fish - a company that manages museum stores internationally. Their idea of a 'small trial' dwarfs my prior largest sale. By end-of-month it should be on the shelves of a number of science museums across the country. I might even get around to publishing a second game in '08.
Also, and unrelated to this is more good news, I will be demoing my game at Arisia, as well as running a tournament on Saturday, so.. drop by and see what things I have wrought !
