Here I go, biting on the color meme. If you want to join in, comment and I will give you a color, for which you must list 10 things you love.
At the risk of drifting into the realm of purple - but trying hard not to. Many things on the list are iridescent and/or variable in color. Violet is just not one of those heavily occurring in nature colors. But heck, it was better than "plaid", which we all know is a color, thanks to Rogue.
1. Well, duh, violets. Home where I grew up had a backyard glen filled with them. They make excellent tea, too.
2. Sunsets - some of the better ones, at least, have violet in them.
3. Black light, because it isn't all quite ultra.
4. Violet Morphos. As much for their size as the color.
5. Amethysts and Tanzanite. My Dad had a huge piece of Ammy on his desk, and I was fascinated with it when I was young.
6. Portuguese Man-o-War. Always found them ultra-cool, since they are a colony of four things living and working together.
7. Van Gogh's "The Sower". Maybe love is too strong here, it's no Starry Starry Night. But it is one of my favorites.
8. Jacaranda trees.
9. Those funky electric spheres, whatever the heck they are called...
10. Sea Urchins. Both cool to look at and yummy.
