Unity Games Report
27 January 2008 11:14I managed to make it up to UG XIV yesterday, had a wonderful time. Biggest up: someone else had brought a copy of Tesserae to play there.
Agricola: Cool, complex, even in the basic version. THE hot thing this year, supposedly moreso than Caylus. The "non-baby" version uses a deck of 300 cards to modify rules for individual players....
Terra Nova: Very simple rules, but complex interaction. This is the sort of game I never get my cadence right, and this was no exception. Just like Fjords, if you want to kick my ass, this is a game of choice, and yes, liked it enough to play more.
Key Harvest: liked it better than Keythedral, although can't put too much weight on having played each once...
Also played, but not new-to-me: Ticket to Ride (original version), Medici, Trias
